Golf, which has a long history and is known for being the most environment-oriented sport, is showing a great development in recent years in Turkey.
Golf; the oldest sports branch with written rules, and also one of the most profitable ones, as golf enables the players to have a break from daily problems, by spending hours in the nature, it is an ideal recreation and for some, a way of life

Our Ministry of Tourism is attaching great emphasis on the golf tourism. To this end, the Ministry studied areas suitable as golf fields, which are near to our shores and the high-capacity accommodation plants.

The golf courses in Turkey are situated in two main areas:
Antalya, a city for all seasons. The best seasons for golfers are autumn, winter and spring. In this area there are 4 golf courses.
Istanbul, at the meeting point of two continents offers 3 courses to golfers. The best seasons for golfers are spring, summer and autumn.

Antalya
GLORIA GOLF RESORT, is a five star hotel complex with its own on-site champion ship golf course. Michael Gayon designed the course with consultancy services provided by J.N.C. International of Belgium.
Gloria is situated in the pine forest of Belek, 25 minutes from Antalya Airport. It has an 18 hole, par 72 , 6293-m long course, each hole will pose an exciting challenge.

The 3 hole Academy course is an ideal practice area for beginners.
Michel Gayon's speciality, the "deep" bunker, the 670 sqm greens and 7 lakes (the largest covers an area of 30.000 sqm) are some of the features of GGR.
GGR hosted European Seniors Open Golf Tournament in May 1998.

National Golf Club
NGC has been designed by Ryder Cup player David Feherty and has an 18 hole, 72 par championship course, 9 hole Academy course, 40 bay Driving Range and 2 practice putting / chipping greens. All grass is hybrid Bermuda grass. The tees of the championship course are white, yellow and red, whereas the academy courses are yellow and red.

The Turkish Seniors Open Championship and event of official European PGA Seniors Tour were hosted in 1997. The course is carved through an ancient pine forest with the Taurus Mountains as backdrop and has 4 natural lakes. It offers an exciting challenge to every standard of golfer. With an international management company, the experienced Golf Director, and PGA qualified British instructors. Any golfer wishing to play on the Championship course must have a handicap certificate to bring with.

Tat Golf Belek International Golf Club
The golf course has been designed by Hawtree of England, Golf Course Architects, and has an 9 hole Academy and an 18 hole championship course, 2 putting greens, bunkers, 1 green for pitching and chipping, par 107. The golf club offers 3 varieties of 18-hole combination.

Nobilis Golf Club
Dave Thomas, one of the worlds leading golf course architects, has designed NGC. The 18-hole course has a Par of 72 and measures 5877m from the men's tees and 5103 m from the ladies' tees.
The championship quality specification includes Bermuda grass fairways and bent grass, for all tees, greens and aprons.

Istanbul

Istanbul Golf Club
Istanbul Golf Club has 9 holes and is home to many local citizens due to its closeness to many of the larger residential areas, allowing golfers to play both at lunchtime and evening. Its holes are compact but very interesting and call for a variety of s hot to be played. The par 65 course holds many clubs and open tournaments and has a very active social section.

Kemer Golf & Country Club
The Kemer golf club is 30 minutes from the city center, taking you into the Belgrade Forest. This 18-hole championship golf course has been designed to take in all the beauty of the forestry area and offers the golfer the chance to walk through nature and to play this spectacular course. The clubhouse and its facilities are excellent with a golfers bar.

Klassis Golf & Country Club
Klassis Golf and Country Club is just over 1 hours drive from the city center and offers a wide variety of sports. It is the home of The Turkish Challenge Tour. The par 72 courses are sculptured through the surrounding countryside with good mixture of golf holes
